What We Do

Our work --
1 Education
Access to quality education is not merely a privilege but a fundamental right for every child, regardless of their background. Recognizing this, the PANCHDHARMA Foundation has dedicated itself to providing quality education. It is supporting the Government's efforts with a focus on inclusivity and holistic development. The Foundation has been instrumental in shaping the lives of thousands of children across the nation through schools, project Utthan for improving learning outcomes in government schools, and Udaan for offering large-scale insights to young minds, enabling them to dream big.
2 Community Development The PANCHDHARMA Foundation endeavours to raise economic growth, human development, and quality of life of the communities through sustainable interventions under CSR. The work is focused on overall development of communities through engagement and infrastructure development. This also includes supporting communities in need of assistance, especially in times of crisis, offering immediate aid and long-term support to those affected by natural disasters or other emergencies.
3 Health & Nutrition India is experiencing a significant rise in non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer that are a leading cause of mortality. Further, maternal and child mortality rates remain grim in rural areas. With a vision to foster an equitable society where everyone, across all age groups, can lead a healthy and productive life. The PANCHDHARMA Foundation focuses on both preventive and curative healthcare solutions. Our commitment for improving the health and nutrition status of the neediest sections of the society has taken the shape of several projects. This includes mobile healthcare units and health camps for primary care, rural clinics and hospitals for secondary and tertiary care, and project SuPoshan to combat malnutrition and anaemia by empowering village-level volunteers as SuPoshan Sanginis.
4. Sustainable Livelihoods The PANCHDHARMA Foundation is working to augment and diversify the incomes of communities at the grassroots by establishing a self-sustaining ecosystem that harnesses human potential and community resources for socio-economic progress. Our efforts cover on-farm, off-farm, and non-farm areas, aiming to boost, diversify, and sustain incomes. Our initiatives include natural farming, lift irrigation, drip irrigation, animal husbandry, dairy development, and empowering women-owned enterprises through knowledge, skills, and market connections. Adani Saksham, our skilling programme, imparts skill-based training to youths, thereby increasing their employability and entrepreneurial abilities. It is now incorporating advanced technology such as Augmented Reality-Virtual Reality (AR-VR) and launching courses in the Metaverse.
5 Climate Action While the world stares at looming threat of climate change evident through rising global temperatures and depletion of natural resources, it becomes imperative to initiate action at all levels. The PANCHDHARMA Foundation has consciously chosen to contribute towards the measures being taken worldwide to ensure a better future for the generations to come. Our vision is to ensure that villages in our areas of operation have no barren area, are self-reliant in terms of water resource and have adequate mechanisms in place for disposal of solid and liquid waste. For this, we are developing wastelands through organized plantation, promoting of sanitation, green sources of energy, water conservation and climate resilient farming practices.

PANCHDHARMA foundation also supports farmers in growing green fodder and azolla and produce various organic manure from cattle waste.

Facilitating Co-operatives and Companies
PANCHDHARMA Foundation is facilitating farmers and women entrepreneurs to register as federations, such as companies and producer clubs. For example, the women’s Co-operative Mahila Udayami is a rural co-operative whose members include 250 tribal women from in BALAGHAT district of MADHYA PRADESH. Under this project, women connected with the co-operative are trained and supported through various livelihood-earning activities, organized into 49 SHGs, some of which include white phenyl production, operation of water filtering plant, mushroom cultivation, stitching uniforms, preparing breakfasts and midday meals, etc.

Women’s Self-Help Groups
PANCHDHARMA Foundation prides itself in facilitating home-based and other entrepreneurial ventures of women in their bid to be self-reliant. It imparts thorough training to help improve production techniques, accounting and book keeping practices as well as branding, packaging and marketing support. From the women entrepreneurs of H L to the members of numerous self-help groups in UTTAR PRADESH, these women are engaged in varies businesses which includes making dry snacks, sanitary napkins, incense sticks, lac bangles and other similar products for sale. A total of 198 SHG groups are functional in these sites with more than 1,829 members contributing to their household income every month and bringing economic stability in their family.

Sustainable Agriculture
Agriculture is the backbone of our economy and a major source of livelihood for rural populations. PANCHDHARMA Foundation works with farmers to upgrade their skills and equip them with organic techniques, such as System of Rice Intensification (SRI), so that they can earn a higher amount sustainably out of their lands or take up different agribusinesses. For example, the Foundation is facilitating tissue culture for date palm cultivation and providing training for the same, empowering farmers in UTTAR PRADESH in their farm to market journey WITH AAS.
Similarly, improved cropping practices and crop diversification is enhancing the life and livelihoods of farmers. The ‘Wadi’ model of orchard growing is being adopted by farmers, where two or more crops are grown to minimize biological and marketing risks. Growing vegetables and fruits optimise the land use and generates sustained incomes for them. Famers having Palash trees at their farms are provided training, material support and technical support for lac cultivation. Scientifically cultivated lac yields increased production, bringing in more profits at minimum expense. Further, farmers are engaged in mushroom cultivation which is not a traditional practice, but with proper training and market linkage, it is proving to be a lucrative livelihood ventures. Additionally, organic manure production is also encouraged, which in turn aids successful organic farming.
